CSS is short for Cascading Style Sheets. CSS provides styles which are used to define how the elements in HTML are displayed. Actually, CSS was developed to solve a problem with HTML. Normally we use simple HTML tags to define the actual content of our webpage. However, that costs a lot of time and effort to do because we have to edit all the properties such as font, color, spacing and image. Especially as time passed we need to add HTML attributes and tags to the webpage we¡¯ve already created. This again makes everything complicate and creating web sites becomes very difficulty. As a result many Styles are added to HTML editing. With CSS, we can save a lot of work by just edit on .css file instead of every single file. For example, once we decided how headings should appear and entered information on css file, every web pages that linked to this style sheet now has that appearance In my web site, CSS is used to describe the background color. When I began editing my webpage, I chose the color "#99FFCC" to be the background color. After I finished the webpage I found that the color seems too light to match the theme. Then, I used CSS to change into color ¡°#CCCCFF¡± instead of finding out and changing the original code in HTML. That makes editing webpage more ¡°user friendly¡±.

I create the website to introduce a romantic movie ¡°A Cinderella Story¡±. I just put some images on the page, outline the plot and made a table to introduce the cast. It is far from perfect. If I have limitless technological ability I will make some change to my website. First of all, I¡¯ll put the whole movie video on the site for download or watching online so that people can have a better idea about the movie. Second, a navigation should be added to the site so that people can easily find what they want to view. Then, I want to create a communication area so that people can leave their comments on the movie. Moreover, it will be better if there¡¯s a chatting tool on the site. It means people who visit my site can chat with each other. That can attract more people to visit. In addition, a music box will be put at the top of the site in which there are songs of love to make people feel comfortable and relax. I¡¯ll put a search tool such as ¡°google¡± at the end of the page to help people find useful resources. By doing this, perhaps people will enjoy the time visiting the site and feel good about this film.

The content is comprehensive including news, sports, business, sports, showbiz and travel. Many good material of learning both Chinese and English can be find in the website. Many films can be downloaded from this site. Large amount of images and videos are posted on the site to help people get a better understanding of the contents. It is attractive because it covers large amount of interesting topics which are the latest news and events. If people are interested in one topic, they can know more about it by clicking on the links to other sites which are specialized in the topic. Moreover, it has a good user interface which can make users find what they want easily. At the top of the website there are special topics which people may be more interested in. In the middle of the page there is a well-planned navigation. And the remains keeps in good order throughout the page.At the end of the site there is a search tool ¡°Google¡± to assist readers to find whatever they want with ease. People from all around the world can see this site without language difficulties because it has different language versions available. The site¡¯s designers are thoughtful. People who come to CRIENGLISH can leave a message or sent a e-mail to propose a suggestion or make a complain so that the website can improve day to day. This site updates very frequently so that readers can know the latest news very soon.
